If you’ve never heard of the social media superpower that is known as Facebook, then you must be from another planet; because, here on Earth, the average person spends about 2.5 hours on social media daily. The majority of that time is being spent on Facebook. Currently, Facebook boasts over 2 billion active users every single month. In fact, the total number of registered Facebook users is so large that, if Facebook was a country, it would be the third largest country on the planet!

Social networks like Facebook have come to be such a prevalent part of our culture and our society that business owners have been forced to make social media, particularly Facebook, a significant part of their marketing strategies just so that they can effectively compete for the attention of the consumers. Business owners who underestimate the power of social networks, especially Facebook, are in for a very rude awakening. Now, for those that think that they can get away with ignoring social media altogether, they will find in the near future that they are gravely mistaken, and the consequences of such arrogance for many of them will unfortunately be highly detrimental and irreversible.

If you want to effectively compete, and successfully promote yourself or your business in today’s markets, then you must realize that your business needs social media. Closing Thoughts

The tools in this post are great to start with if you are operating on a low budget or no budget, however, there are plenty of paid  tools available as well that can really do wonders for your business. If you do have capital to invest, you might want to look into using at least some of it to establish a presence and grow your influence on Facebook and other social media networks, your business will thank you!
