In The Digital Age, Going to School Becomes a Profitable Undertaking

If you are currently a student, especially one that takes great notes and gets decent grades, then you’re going to love this post.

Thanks to a number of e-commerce platforms that have emerged over the past decade, it turns out that the normal activities which you participate in as a student, such as taking class notes, writing essays and taking exams, can now be monetized. Allow me to explain.

Attending college is one of the most expensive things that a person can do, so those that appreciate this fact want to make sure that they get it right the first time. With that being said, some students are better essay writers than others, so the ones that do write great essays, can actually sell their essays to other students who are not great essay writers. Some students are better note takers than others so, if you don’t take great notes, or maybe you miss a lecture or two, you can actually buy notes from students who have taken or are taking the same classes.

Those are just a couple examples of ways that students can monetize their schooling experiences. Throughout the remainder of this post, I’m going to discuss the types of activities and the different online platforms that can potentially make attending school a very profitable undertaking.

Ways to Get Paid Just for Being a Student

Whether you know it or not, when you attend college, there are certain things that you have or do as a student that can very easily be monetized. The beauty of it is that the things that can get you paid as a student are mostly things that you are doing anyway. In this post, I’m going to discuss the following 7 activities that you can do as a student to make some easy money.

1. Sell used textbooks

2. Sell your essays

3. Sell your class notes

4. Sell your quizzes and exams

5. Tutor part time

6. Answer homework questions for money

7. College sports arbitrage

7 Ways to Monetize Your College Experience

Now that you know some of the ways that you can monetize your college experience, I’m going to talk about each activity in a little more detail, and give you some online platforms where you can earn some cash.

1. Sell your used textbooks

When a person attends college, the tuition alone can cost an exuberant amount of money. Additionally, if the tuition isn’t expensive enough, students then have to pay what seems like a fortune for all of their textbooks which can be overwhelming. So most students tend to purchase previously used textbooks if they can in order to save some money, this presents an opportunity. When each semester is over, you’re probably not going to open those textbooks again, so why not let another student get some value from them? If you can make some easy cash on top of that, so much the better. Here are some platforms where you can sell those textbooks that you no longer need:

2. Sell Your Essays

If you are a great essay writer then, aside from getting decent grades, you may be able to make money off of your work. There are many students who are not such great essay writers. Then there are the students who would simply rather just pay someone money for a grade A essay than write one themselves. Here are some platforms where you can sell your A earning essays:

3. Sell Your Class Notes

When I was going to school, I learned early on how to take notes in a way that made any material easy to study and retain. When I would study for exams, all I had to do was read through my notes a few times the night before the test, and I would usually pass with an A.

One day, a fellow student asked me to make a copy of my notes for her from a couple of lectures that she had missed. So I did and she liked how I took notes so much that she began asking for a copy of all my notes. One day, a couple of the other students in that particular class took notice of this, so they began asking if they could have copies of my notes too. Eventually, I was making copies of my notes for the entire class, which I didn’t mind doing, because it made me feel good to be able to help my peers.

The thought never occurred to me to charge money for my notes. Why didn’t I think of that? Had I known back then that I could actually monetize my class notes, I would’ve been able to go through school with a lot more money in my pocket!

If you are a phenomenal note taker, check out the following platforms where you can actually sell your class notes.

4. Sell Your Quizzes & Exams

Believe it or not, there is a market for your old quizzes and exams. Some students that may be taking a class which you took previously are more than happy to purchase your old exams and quizzes from you so that they have a good idea of what will be on their exams for the same class. So, regardless of the grades that you end up recieving on your exams, you can list them on specific platforms online and easily get some cold, hard cash! The following websites are platforms where you can sell your old quizzes and exams.

5. Tutoring Part Time

We all have our favorite subjects in school, or at least the ones that we do the best in. If you have a topic that you really enjoy and do well at, consider tutoring in that topic part time. Experienced tutors can charge a fairly substantial amount of money and people are willing to pay it. Here are a few websites where you can find paid tutoring gigs:

6. Answer Homework Questions For Money

Nowadays, there are actual platforms, called homework markets, for students to get help with specific homework assignments or homework questions. This is a great option if you don’t have the time to be a tutor, yet still need to earn some cash. With these types of websites you can log in and answer questions whenever your schedule allows you to. The following websites are platforms where you can answer homework questions for money.

7. College Sports Arbitrage

There is one perk of being a college student that many students take for granted. If you are a college student, and you’re not taking full advantage of this perk, you are probably missing out on some serious cheddar!

Most universities allow their students to purchase tickets to the school sporting events at a huge discount, and some will even allow students to get into the sporting events for free. If you attend a school that has a sports team with a large fan base, it’s time for you to begin taking advantage of this student perk while you still can. I’m talking about college sports arbitrage!

All you have to do is get tickets to each sporting event with your student discount. Buy as many tickets as you can afford to buy. Once you have the tickets purchased, you’re going to turn around and simply sell them for slightly less than full price to fans that are not students at the university.

That’s it! Buy low, sell high, repeat! When the next sports game comes up, just repeat the process. If your school’s sports team(s) is popular enough, this can be an extremely lucrative endeavor. I know guys who were able to pay off their student loans by doing this! Anyway, if this hustle is one you want to try, you can sell those tickets through the following platforms.

Closing Words
